A drought-resistant variety that does well during the long days of summer, the Verbena flower mix is ideal for a blooming garden and requires little care. Also commonly known as the Tears of Isis, Verbena is becoming a popular bloom of choice across gardens since it requires very little care and is not very demanding when it comes to the soil it is being grown in. The shape of the bloom resembles somewhat of a primrose which can last all through the season with regular pruning and trimming. Although Verbena can grow in poor soils, there may be some issues with flowering. Hence it is best to apply a slow-release fertilizer like poultry manure or kitchen waste compost to promote flowering.
